I often hear people say, “I eat really well.” I always reply, “what did you have for breakfast?” To which they say, “Well, except for today. I was late getting the kids to school, blah blah, blah, or last night we were busy so we stopped for pizza, etc.”

Skip the cereal bar for a treat or snack…they often have as much sugar as a candy bar. Inexpensive apples can provide natural sweetness. Here’s a quick recipe for an apple cobbler type dessert.
- 1 apple, cored and sliced into wedges
- 1 T butter
- Non-caloric sweetener to taste, like stevia
- 1/8 t apple pie spice or cinnamon
Arrange apple wedges on baking tray. Pat butter on top of apple, sprinkle sweetener and spice over everything. Bake in oven for 12-15 minutes at 350. Serve warm or pack in container and refrigerate until ready to eat.
Remember what Coach Chris always says: “If you are not hungry enough to eat an apple, you are not hungry!”
Just for this week
People often say it’s expensive to have a personal trainer and/or a nutrition coach. But think of this….
Just for this week, decide to drink less alcohol, go out to eat less often, and buy less soda. For many of you, these simple changes could add 100s of dollars/month back into your wallet.
Stay at home and cook dinner, make your lunch to take to work. Not only will you save $, but you will also eat healthier because you will control the content and portions of the food you eat.
You can do it!
