fat muscleOur workshop this week is called “You Can’t Flex Fat” and I hope this photo demonstrates why that is! Both of these weight 5 pounds – the top is 5 pounds of  muscle and the bottom is 5 pounds of fat.

Can you see why a muscle flexes and fat doesn’t?

Do you  see why muscle might be more able to help you perform daily activities better than fat?

Got left over Halloween candy? Get it out of the house – quick! If you bring it to us, we’ll donate it to a worthy cause!

Halloween candy is the best example of how a “little taste” can get out of control fairly quickly. All those bite-sized nuggets of chocolate add up quickly.

Just for this week

Let’s head towards Thanksgiving by expressing gratitude each day this week. Pick 3 things each day that you’re thankful for. This will help your attitude, your energy, and your health.

Each of us have a lot to be thankful for, although we don’t often take the time to think about it. This week, think about what you’re thankful for – be aware of the small things, the simple things that enhance your life. I think you’ll find you have lots of good in your life!
